NEW ONSLAUGHT ALBUM - WRITING TO BEGIN
Hi Ladies / Gentlemen Hope everyone is doing good...? Just to let you all know, Onslaught will now begin work on writing the follow up album to last years thrash assault 'KILLING PEACE'.......First track was written and completed early last year, but now over the next few months we will forge ahead to write the remaining slabs of 666% Pure Thrash....We have a choice of 3 titles for the new album and all of the basic song outlines are firmly in place... We're all real excited about making this album, we have our own studio set-up and a whole new outlook on how to make this next record a screaming fucking monster...!!!! with Andy Rosser-Davies now in the band there's gonna be lots of fresh input and a slightly different slant to the 'Slaught'...He's a very aggressive player, very much like me, so the musical violence is gonna be increased considerably...with serious amounts of shredding.......!!!!! We'll keep you all updated as we progress with each song and all other album related info... take care Nige
BANG YOUR HEAD !
What another awesome weekend we've had
in Germany at Bang Your Head Festival... Huge crowd, great weather and 2
days of pure fuckin metal.!! We hit the stage at just after midday on saturday
which was by far the heavier day of the 2, with Judas Priest, Saxon, Obituary.
And Tankard sharing the billing with us... All our apprehensions about playing
so early in the day soon disappeared as the Onslaught intro rang around
the festival, the arena was packed and ready to thrash. Sadly, we were limited
to a 40 min set which meant we had to cut some songs, always a tough decision
but it was still real intense.:) KILLING PEACE. LET THERE BE DEATH. ANGELS
OF DEATH. DESTROYER OF WORLDS. METAL FORCES. PLANTING SEEDS OF HATE. DEMONIAC.
BURN. The BYH crowd were so fucking cool, lots of banging and lots of noise,
we were given such a great welcome and response which made the 16 hour drive
to Balingen very worthwhile... 40 mins are over in the snap of a string
and we're off to celebrate at the bars, catch up with friends and get wrecked
for the rest of the day. Haha. And what a fuckin day it was.!! Finally we
would like to send a massive thank you to everyone at the BYH FESTIVAL organisation
for inviting us to play this great event and for making us all so welcome
during our stay.

Next up we have a string of festivals which we are all looking forward to. See you there !
More news soon, watch this space.
NEW ONSLAUGHT GUITARIST
Onslaught have replaced departed guitarist Al Jordan
with awesome new shredder Andy Rosser-Davies..
Nige Rockett comments.'Unfortunately Al was unable to commit to any touring
with the band as from late last year due to personal circumstances, live
shows are what we are all about, so the situation was unworkable.
As many of our German fans will know Andy came in at very short notice to
play on the tour with Ektomorf and did a fantastic job..He is phenemenol
guitar player with a very aggressive style which suits Onslaught perfectly,
we were stoked when he accepted our offer.
It was a pity Al had to go at such a positive time, but sometimes i guess
these things happen and we will move on to bigger and better things.. we
all wish him and his family all the best with his new career

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we sadly announce that the 'X-mass Festival Tour' scheduled for December has been postponed.. However the tour will now go ahead in January 2008 under the title of the 'Black Winter' tour.. more details of the line up and dates to follow very soon...
This does not mean we're gonna be taking time off during december, we have now been confirmed as very special guests on the 'Rockfalls Giant' tour with Ektomorf: ...It is predominently a tour of Germany with 1 other show in Vienna, Austria.
See the live section for a full list of dates.
ONSLAUGHT WILL NOT BE APPEARING AT SOUTH SIDE OF HELL FESTIVAL
Onslaught will not be appearing at the Hellflame-south side of hell festival in Lichtenfels this saturday (22/09/07) this is due to local government interference which in turn led the promoter to make a decision not to fly in any of the international bands booked to play the festival.
KERRANG LIVE REVIEW THE ATTIC RUSHDEN
Issue no. 1172, Aug 18 2007
kkkk
Thrash never realy went away. That almost everyone in the Attic is wearing shirts older than most modern day band members proves this, while the room is so rammed that getting whacked across the heel every time some bint charges through the door is inevitable. It's a fantastic turn-out given that untill two years ago, tonight's headliners hadn't played a gig for some 13 years.
Not that you'd know, because right now Onslaught are sounding louder, nastier and more essential than ever.Whatever happened during their time in the wilderness has only added even more firepower to their already mighty arsenal. Drawing largly from their recent 'Killing Peace' album, songs like the aptly titled 'burn' are absolutely wicked in their delivery, conjuring a metallic firestorm that gets wilder at every turn. It's brutal as shit, but what stands out most tonight is the ineffable bond that a band like Onslaught inevitably shares with its audience. Fists are pumped, hugs are exchanged, and the amount of Newcastle Brown sloshing around for the duration means you'll be lucky to leave without positively reeking of the stuff.
They may not be as popular or successful as their American counterparts, but only a fool would doubt the impact that Onslaught have had on modern metal, and tonight is a shining example of why they remain so vital.

SY KEELER UPDATE
Hello All, now i can see well enough, thought i'd check in with an eye update, But first off thank you to everyone on the forums for the good wishes & support, i was very low during the week after the op & you're messages were a great pick up, Thanks again.
The prob started the day after the Dutch gig in Arnhem on April 30, which
prompted a visit to Bristol eye hospital on our return. the docs could find
no visble sign of damage at that point so off we went on tour. May 3rd Leeds,
during the afternoon the prob got a lot worse, eventually during soundcheck
i developed what i can only describe as a 'BLACK HOLE' which prompted a
rush to hospital where i had my biggest fear confirmed, 'Detached Retina'
emergency surgery had to be carried out within 24 hours, which the surgeon
offered to do in Leeds the next morning, bang goes the tour!
I chose to return home to the Bristol eye hospital,
where i had my op at 2pm Friday 4th under local anesthetic, Metal or what!
a very unpleasant experience i'll tell ee! the next 10 days i had to spend
'posturing' keeping my head tilted to the left for 45 mins in every hour
!!! part of the healing process means 'a Gas' had to be put into the eye
to add pressure to the repair, the gas has now cleared sufficiently enough
for me to spend short periods at the pc, 'tis a peculiar effect having gas
in the eye, its like looking thro' a goldfish bowl with the water sloshing
around.
The op appears to have been a success, but i'm gonna have to take it steady
for a while.
A Special Thanks to the doctors & Nurses in Leeds & Bristol.
Thanks again for you're messages 'see' you soon... Sy
NIGE TAKES TO THE MIC AT LEEDS RIOS
..we were advised 'not to play at all', it was
only down to the peoples reaction that we decided to override the decision..We
did our best, it was nowhere near the Onslaught that you should have seen,
a million miles away in fact, but i haven't done any vocals in 22 years,
let alone play guitar to a high standard and try to sing (i use the term
loosely)..but at least it put a smile on some faces..
The hastily rearranged Rios' set included ' LET THERE BE DEATH, ANGELS OF DEATH, METAL FORCES, SHELLSHOCK AND BURN '.
ONSLAUGHT FORCED TO
CANCEL UK DATES
UK thrashers Onslaught have been forced to cancel the remaining dates of
their British tour due to a serious health issue concerning vocalist Sy
Keeler.
The Onslaught frontman was rushed to hospital during the soundcheck at Leeds
Rios suffering from an acute loss of vision. Keeler has since undergone
an emergency operation to repair a detached retina in his left eye. If it
was not for this immediate procedure the doctors said he would have almost
certainly lost the sight in this eye.
Following the bands announcement to the Rios crowd regarding the situation,
Onslaught were taken aback by the overwhelming warmth and support showed
to them by the enthusiastic audience. This compelled the band to quickly
reorganise and power through a few chosen classics with guitarist Nige Rockett
handling the bulk of the vocal duties.
Speaking from hospital a distraught Sy Keeler expressed his sincere apologies
to all the fans that were looking forward to the first leg of the 'Killing
Peace' tour and is hoping to be fit enough to hit the road as soon as is
humanly possible.
Onslaught are currently looking into re-scheduling the cancelled dates for
later in the year.

X-Mass Festivals Tour Report
Better late than never, the site has been updated with the first part of
bassist Jim's inside track of what actually happened when Onslaught descended
upon the X-Mass festivals in Tilburg and Antwerp...
So. First gigs for Onslaught in mainland Europe in
some sixteen-odd years...nerves are a little jangly as we meet at Steve’s
to collect the van. Greeting the crew and new soundman Trevor, a smooth
getaway sees us at Nige’s house within a half hour.
Steve then spends the next half in fits of the giggles at Nige’s spanking
new green mohican. Punk-tastic. The grind to Dover’s a pain, M25 traffic
making the palms perspire at the thought of missing the ferry. However,
the white cliffs are soon in view and not even a closed bar and Burger King
can dampen the enthusiasm.
Alcohol needs are sated nicely, thank you, on the crossing; however, La
Manche is a little choppy. Nige’s face soon resembles his hair. Even
Gricey’s natural ebullience is dampened somewhat. Despite nature’s
best efforts, only guitar tech Anthony succumbs to the conversation with
God on the great white telephone.
Eventually, despite my and Steve’s best navigatory efforts, we roll
off the boat to pull up late outside the Best Hotel in Dunkirk. Waking Madame,
who is unflappable when faced with several uncouth Englishmen who are hungry
and want beer, we are soon in bed, with only the Keeler/Rockett posse managing
to locate the mythical late-night kebab.
The coffee is strong the next morning. The weather’s getting worse
as we move northwards through Belgium - snow’s falling like crazy
and there’s a feeling that we wish we’d left a little earlier.
However, the sun soon shines and it’s just a little damp when we arrive
at the 013 in Tilburg. What a venue - fantastic! Exodus are soundchecking
- all stonking great riffs and thumping drums. We’re impressed.
Pretty soon we’re crawling over the stage getting gear set up. Meet
the Naglfar and Wintersun boys - nice guys. Wintersun get a soundcheck -
we manage a few chords before the power’s cut. Here’s hoping
all’s well at showtime!
The doors open - the hall’s getting busier! Very busy, in fact. Wintersun
are first up on the main stage and, I must say, I am impressed. Very tight,
great musicians. These lads get a great reaction and will go far. Then it’s
our turn - swift changeover of amps, Steve gets his cymbals in position.
Thump, thump and Jay’s introducing us: "Are you ready? From Bristol,
UK...ONSLAUGHT!!!!"
Fuck me the adrenalin’s going as I walk out
onto the stage. The place is full! And everyone’s clapping and cheering!
He he he he! One-two-three-four...CLUNG...and Nige is scratching out the
Let There Be Death intro. Fifteen years are gone in a flash! My head’s
snapping, Steve’s kicks are pounding and Mr Jordan’s throwing
some serious metal shapes here! Winding down the into...Simon strides onstage
like a colossus. "Good evening, Tilburg...LET THERE BE DEATH!".
Fuuuuuuuccccckkkkkkk...
There’s a pit going, heads are shaking. I’m loving this shit.
Angels of Death - things are getting more intense at the front. Pause for
breath, downtune the bass..."Destroyer of Worlds...". Dark, heavy,
brooding tune. People in the crowd standing back to observe..."Kill-in-peace,
kill-in-war"...storming. Sy winds up the crowd; time for the return
for an old friend..."The Demoniaaaaaaac...". People are slamming,
pushing, moshing. There’s an old-school sense of friendly violence
in the air! "Time for the title track from the new Onslaught album...KILLING
PEACE"! Thrash, thrash, thrash - the fastest thing we’ve ever
done. Tilburg loves it!
And so to Power from Hell. Cheers as Nige teases with the intro riff..."POWER"...again..."FROM
HELL"!!! Stabs - pause - snare and omifuckengodherewefuckengomyfuckenneck!
He he - slowing her down for the chorus - "Onslaught - Power from Hell!
Power, Power, Power From Hell!!".
And it’s all over! Bows at the front - saunter offstage. Gricey’s
bright red - is he going to die? Hugs all round. Well done, lads!!
Killing Peace - Writing Update
Onslaught have resumed the writing of Killing Peace after the festive break.
The new song upon which the lads have embarked is shaping up to be the fastest
thing they’ve ever written (again - and we’re not making this
up)...horribly heavy, darkly disturbing and thoroughly unpleasant. Which
is just how we like it...
